We have limited space in our house near the beach with no basement, so our utility room allowed us enough room to accommodate this freezer. It has a streamline look, is quiet and has ample freezer space for overflow from our refrigerator.

Works great so far. In Garage initially, then will move into basement after renovations are complete. Set at minimum level and it is still freezing at Zero degrees F, Like this being energy star compliant unit.

Initially purchased the 6.5 cu ft freezer from Sam's Club. Had been wanting the 7.0 cu ft model but no one in a two state area had that model. After buying the 6.5, was reading the next day on line about how consumers were able to buy direct from Frigidaire.com. Went to website and purchased the 7.0 and had it shipped to my home. My one day old 6.5 was gifted to my son. Have had the freezer for approx 2 weeks and it does a great job. This model has adjustable shelves which is nice. A great investment at a great price! The website does offer veterans/military discounts to customers. No future need to search every appliance/big box store website for a Frigidaire appliance.

My wife and I recently retired and downsized and moved into 55 plus community. We have been looking for a medium sized upright freezer. We recently purchased the Frigidaire 7cu ft. garage ready upright freezer. This freezer can be used in kitchens where space is limited, or in a garage or just about anywhere. The freezer came with a J-shaped plastic and metal thing, roughly 2 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches that was inside an unmarked plastic bag. Neither the manual that came with the freezer nor the manual on-line mentions this part. When I called customer service, I was told that the part is needed in order for the door to close properly. They could not tell me how to install the part but could send a technician to install it. It seems unreasonable to sell a product that requires a technician to install a piece in order for it to work properly. In addition, it seems neglectful to put the necessary piece in an unmarked bag with no instructions regarding its use and installation. I have already filled the freezer and have it running. I don't know if the tech needs to remove the door to install the piece. This is turning what was a happy experience with a nice new freezer into a stressful ordeal with a poorly planned process. Why would you not label the piece and post a message on the freezer door or the very least in the manual regarding this procedure? I am so disappointed in Frigidaire and this otherwise nice freezer.

This freezer rates as one of my worst buying decisions. We wanted a small garage freezer, and this model looked like it fit the bill. On the good side, it runs great, cools down quickly, and maintains the temperature. However, it does not have a pressure vacuum relief valve (like most stand-alone freezers have) so when the door is opened and then closed, the warm air that entered the freezer cools quickly, condenses in volume, and creates a very strong vacuum that seals the door closed. After that, it simply cannot be pried open until several minutes later when the pressure has somewhat equalized. My discussion with Frigidaire customer service didn™™t help. The troubleshooting analysis for this issue is to load more ™stuff™ into the freezer (makes less room for warm air that can enter with door open) or to wait a ™couple minutes™ to hopefully allow pressures to equalize. They could not help me. A freezer that locks its door closed once opened is not useable. This thing has to go away. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I have only had this freezer for a couple weeks but so far it works well. This is a small freezer but because of the movable shelves you can pack a lot in and still get to it when needed. One thing the door can be hard to open because of the vacuum created when you open it. If you need to get back in just wait a minute and you can open the door more easily. As the warm air you let in when opening the door cools it creates a vacuum, once it cools the door can be opened.

Concern at first because the sides were quite warm, but after reading the installation instructions, it said that this was normal until the unit adjust the temperature differences. Since the freezer seems to be working very well, and just in time for our beef to be delivered for slaughter. I have always trusted Frigidaire products.

It meets all our needs. It's just me and my husband but I cook and bake a lot for family, church gatherings etc. You can't judge by the photos, I haven't done my big shopping yet. Those frozen items can be rearranged to add many other items. The door can be hung to open in either direction. It has a tight seal when closed. Although we keep it in our laundry room that's connected to our garage, the room still gets quite warm here in Phoenix AZ so we like that it's garage ready to take the heat and put it in the garage if need be. We recommend this Frigidaire Freezer.

Our old 7 cu ft Magic Chef chest freezer did not last 3 years and we lost 100 plus pounds of meat due to the compressor. It would have cost more for a service call, labor, and parts than replacing. We have a 1987 Frigidaire chest freezer that still humming along. I found this 7 cu ft upright freezer at our locallly owner appliance dealer who only carries the best in appliances. I also purchased the affordable extended warranty package.

After a couple months of use, this freezer has been extremely efficient and so far totally frost-free in a hot garage environment here in Georgia. The shelves make organizing so convenient compared to the top-loading garage freezers of yore. What™™s particularly notable about this freezer is the seal™¦it™™s extremely tight sealing to the point where you almost need two hands to open the door. Having this very tight seal no doubt contributes to its energy efficiency and lack of frost build-up. Could not be happier with this garage freezer!

I would highly recommend this Frigidaire upright freezer for the following reasons. One, its compact exterior appearance surprises and delights with a spacious interior. The 5 shelves make for 6 large compartments. Two, because there are sizeable sections for storage, the freezer allows for everything to be visible. Being able to see what™™s on each shelf is such a huge benefit. Lastly, the seal on the door is quite strong. You definitely don™™t have to worry about it going ajar and losing its frigid temperature. We are so grateful to finally have an extra freezer that fits nicely in our garage. Five out of five stars!

This freezer is the perfect size for handling our overflow! I didn™™t need a full-sized deep freezer, but I was constantly playing freezer Tetris with our main one™"and this solved the problem. I have a smaller fridge in the garage, and this freezer is the ideal complement. It™™s compact enough to fit in tight spaces but holds a surprising amount of food.One thing to note: it can be a bit tricky to open at times™"possibly due to the temperature difference in the garage causing the seal to tighten. Nice compact size freezer, but due to my family size I would have preferred it to be larger & come with pull out drawers. The glass shelves make me feel uneasy but they seem sturdy. This freezer is a great addition to my chest style freezer and I wanted a stand up freezer because I didn™™t like the idea of having to continue to bend over and look for the contents, but I wouldn™™t recommend this be your only deep freezer with a large family.

This is such a cute, compact freezer if you don™™t need a huge one or don™™t have a lot of space to work with. It™™s approximately the size of two stacked dorm refrigerators. It does not have shelves on the door or overhead lights but it will still hold a lot. There are multiple adjustable shelves to accommodate different size items. It also has a good depth to it. I like that it is small enough to fit under a shelf or that you could store something on top and easily get it off. It™™s also garage ready and able to withstand the more extreme temps.
